Lighthouse Pedagogy Trust opened its first children’s home in February 2022. Over the past year, we have had a lot of successes and challenges! We are keen to share our insights to support others to learn about children’s homes, take away any useful tips and meet other people with similar interests.
We will be running a series of online learning events:
- Learning event 1 – Monday 24 April from 1-2.30pm – the session will focus on how we refurbished the building and planned to set up the home operationally.
- Learning event 2 – Thursday 18 May from 1-2.30pm – the session will focus on how we have run the home since it has opened and some of our operational successes and challenges.
- Learning event 3 – Friday 2 June from 1-2.30pm – the session will focus on how Greater Manchester local authorities are creating more local children’s homes by working collaboratively with the voluntary and social enterprise sector.
